RELEASE|March 29, 2022
Contact: Timmy Beson

Rep. Beson says small businesses have through Thursday, March 31 to apply for a grant from more than $400 million approved by the Legislature to help Michigan firms that continued to pay taxes despite being closed during the pandemic. Rep. Beson says most of Michigan’s afflicted businesses are small, local firms that support jobs for young people in particular. The program is patterned after an afflicted business relief program Rep. Beson previously introduced in 2021, but the funding was vetoed by the Governor and was in limbo until late last year.
