State Rep. Kathy Schmaltz, R-Jackson, today issued the following statement after the Jackson County Land Bank was awarded a $3 million state grant to facilitate the demolition and cleanup of the fire-damaged industrial complex located on West North Street in Jackson:
“I am thrilled to see this much-needed investment in the revitalization of our community. The demolition and cleanup of the building devastated by the fire signify a new chapter for Jackson, one that prioritizes safety, economic growth, and community well-being. By addressing blight and transforming this site into a space ripe for redevelopment, we will lay the groundwork for a more vibrant and prosperous Jackson.”
