State Rep. Mike Harris, R-Waterford, recently celebrated a new grant to support youth mental health in Oakland County. The Michigan Association of Health Plans awarded a $2,500 Health Equity Grant to On A Dragonfly’s Wings, a Waterford nonprofit focused on supporting mental health and preventing suicide by breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health needs. The organization will use the grant funding for a week-long mental wellness camp for Oakland County young people in fourth through ninth grades.
