PHOTO INFORMATION: State Rep. Phil Green (holding award) was recently named as one of Ducks Unlimited’s 2025 Legislators of the Year for his work in wetland and waterfowl conservation and protecting Michigan’s natural resources.

“I sincerely thank the leaders of this vital organization, as well as their thousands of members and volunteers for this recognition and all they do for Michigan,” Green said. “Our natural resources and outdoor heritage make our state the great splendor that it is. It takes sound policy, collaboration and diligent work in the Legislature to ensure our outdoors remains a Michigan tradition for generations to come. I remain committed to these efforts.”

Ducks Unlimited is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1937 and has fought to conserve over 78,000 acres of Michigan wetlands, grasslands and various other habitats for wildlife.

Green is in his fourth term in the Michigan House. He serves the 67th House District, which includes the city of Lapeer and the townships of Deerfield, Elba, Hadley, Lapeer, Marathon, Mayfield, Metamora and Oregon in Lapeer County, the townships of Forest, Genesee, Richfield and Thetford in Genesee County, and Watertown Township in Tuscola County.
