State Rep. Graham Filler will serve as Republican vice chair of the House Criminal Justice Committee during the 2023-24 legislative session.

Filler, R-Clinton County, chaired the House Judiciary Committee from 2019 to 2022, acting as a strong advocate for law enforcement and public safety. Prior to his election to the Michigan House, he served as an assistant attorney general for seven years with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.

“I’m excited to continue working to improve our criminal justice system, support crime victims and back law enforcement,” Filler said. “We’ve worked in a bipartisan manner to accomplish quite a bit over the last four years. I’m hopeful we can build upon that progress.”

Filler will also serve on the House’s Regulatory Reform and Healthy Policy committees.
