State Rep. Steve Carra, of Three Rivers, announced he will host his monthly townhall, as well as local office hours this August.
The townhall, which Carra will host on the first Monday of the month, takes place at the following time and location:
Monday, August 7
Christian Fellowship Center; 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.; 201 North St., Sturgis

The office hours take place at the following times and locations:
Friday, August 25
Broadway Cafe; 9 – 10 a.m.; 158 S. Broadway St., Cassopolis
Destiny Church; 11 a.m. – Noon; 58385 Kerr Creek Rd., Three Rivers
No appointments are necessary to attend townhalls or office hours. Those who are unable to attend but would still like to share their thoughts with the representative may call his Lansing office at (517) 373-0843 or email SteveCarra@House.MI.gov.
“Elected officials have a duty to be as open and transparent as possible,” said Carra, R-Three Rivers. “Lawmakers should never trade their silence for information about corruption that benefits the politically connected in their communities. Our job is to represent all the voices of our districts.”
“I came to Lansing to limit burdensome government requirements,” Carra said. “I can’t stand by idly while health system workers in our community are being pulled away from administering care to fulfill demanding state requirements.”
