State Rep. Karl Bohnak, R-Deerton, on Friday released the following statement after flash flooding tore through L’Anse and Baraga Thursday. The flooding washed out roads and driveways and appears to have caused a significant amount of damage:

“Thank you to the Michigan State Police, local law enforcement and government officials, first responders, and all others who stepping up to help after the massive flooding that hit yesterday. I’ve been in communication with folks on the ground who assure me, while the situation is serious, repairs have already begun.
