Neyer holding public meeting to discuss MI Supreme Court ruling on restaurant tipping

Got questions about the recent Michigan Supreme Court ruling on restaurant tipping?

State Rep. Jerry Neyer, R-Shepherd, will hold a roundtable discussion to go over the court decision and what it means for restaurants and service industry workers. The meeting, which is open to the public and free to attend, will also discuss upcoming changes to the minimum wage and employee sick time.

Special guests include Scott Ellis, executive director of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association and Justin Winslow, president and CEO of the Michigan Restaurant Association. They will be able to help explain the changes and answer questions.

The event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 6pm to 8pm at Cheers Neighborhood Grill, located at 1700 W. High St. in Mt. Pleasant.
