State Rep. Mark Tisdel today reminded Greater Rochester residents of the upcoming Festival of the Hills event on Aug. 11.

“As always, the Festival of the Hills promises to be a great local event with fun for the whole family,” said Tisdel, of Rochester Hills. “COVID-19 shut down events all around the world, and this year’s festival will bring our community together in celebration and unity as we emerge from the pandemic. I look forward to seeing everyone there.”

Festival of the Hills, a family-friendly event hosted by the city of Rochester Hills, will take place at Borden Park on Wednesday, Aug. 11. The festival will officially begin at 6 p.m., and the fireworks display will launch shortly after 9:30 p.m.

The 45th House District, which Tisdel represents, includes the cities of Rochester and Rochester Hills and part of Oakland Township.

Tisdel previously served on the Rochester Hills City Council for eight years.
