State Rep. Bradley Slagh, of Zeeland, is joined by his guest, Holland Township Fire Chief Jim Kohsel, in front of the Capitol Building today for the annual Michigan House of Representatives 9-11 Memorial Ceremony. Legislators invited first responders and members of the military from their communities to be their guests for the service. The ceremony included the ringing of a fire bell for those who died in the line of duty in the past year throughout Michigan.
State Rep. Bradley Slagh today announced that the final state budget approved by the Legislature Wednesday will include more than $1.1 million to address the growing groundwater shortage problem in Ottawa County.

Increased federal requirements such as these put our country on a dangerously slippery slope, with the nagging question ‘what will they next require us to do that takes away more of our freedoms?’
